You need an experienced representative that will support your ideas, fight for the needs of your community and earn your respect. For someone who truly cares for the Township of Langley, elect Teresa Townsley for Langley Township Council.
Teresa has been part of this community since 2010 as a farmer, entrepreneur and former Vice-Chair of Tourism Langley. She is the current co-Chair of the Langley Farmers Institute and Vice-Chair of a provincial advocacy group representing Fruit Wine, Ciders and Meads. Teresa currently represents Langley Farmers on Langley's Agricultural Advisory and Economic Enhancement Committee. She is co-Owner and CEO of Festina Lente Estate Winery and Festina Lente Farm.
"As a business person, I know the value of being connected. That's why I am running to represent our community at the Council Table. The Township of Langley has unique and exciting neighbourhoods that deserve protection, preservation and policy that will maintain their unique flavours while still maintaining connection with the rest of the Township. Before moving to Langley, I experienced the damage that poor road and development planning can do to carve up a community and I believe that if we continue to plan only from election cycle to election cycle, we will lose the opportunity to protect the lifestyle that the Township provides.
'We need to pay attention to what is happening at the Federal, Provincial and Metro Vancouver level so that we can be present at the table and advocating for our community rather than voicing dismay after the fact. For too long, we have been represented by people content to sit in the Council Chair and collect taxes without doing the hard work of governance. The Township of Langley deserves better.
'In the post-Covid world, we cannot continue to burden hard working people by raising local taxes without first using every creative means at our disposal to search out areas of inefficiency and waste. It is hard, but not impossible. Having done this kind of work before, I know that it will take a determined and unified Council to rise to this task. I believe that the residents of the Township deserve the maximum effort and should expect no less from their elected representatives."

As the co-Chair of the Langley armer's Institute, I am working every day to promote farming, farm families and the environment we farm in.
It’s tinder dry out there! We need to be preparing for climate change and natural disasters. We need to ensure that emergency services are available when we need them and they are equipped to do their difficult job.
Disaster preparedness must be a priority for council.
Climate change is real. Neglecting our Glen Valley dikes is no longer an option. We need to shore up the dikes to prevent major flooding disasters.
Help me make this a priority.
Vote TOWNSLEY for TOWNSHIP.
